Willowdale Hall of Fame item: Simpsons Dept. Store. Another one (of many) shopping mall “anchor stores” of the 60’s, 70’s & 80’s, Willowdale’s Simpsons’ location was located at one end of the long standing Fairview Mall. It was a quick trip eastbound on Sheppard Ave. to the north/east corner of DonMills, where you could find all your department store needs, from appliances to clothing… like the slogan says: “you’ll enjoy shopping at Simpsons”
